Although Jensen Huang's current stage presence is powerful, charismatic, and captivating, leading most analysts to categorize him as an ENTJ, he has openly admitted in several interviews that he is actually an introvert and a true nerd during his university years. Some of the stories he frequently shares from interviews include: A shy nerd: While studying at Oregon State University and Stanford University, he was extremely shy, rarely making eye contact, and spent most of his time engrossed in his studies and technology, typical of a computer engineering nerd. The turning point at Denny's: His first job was as a dishwasher and waiter at Denny's. Jensen says this job was a "turning point in his life," pulling him out of his comfort zone, teaching him how to communicate with people, and overcoming his shyness. An introverted leader: He states that giving keynote speeches or leading organizations today is a job and duty he must perform to the best of his ability, but once the work is done... He still prefers to recharge quietly in his private space, in the manner of an introvert. Therefore, looking at the true self he describes, the INTJ (The Architect) personality type best reflects Jensen Huang's essence: quiet, reserved, but with a sharp vision, a long-term strategist, and capable of developing his communication skills (extraverted skills) to become a world-class leader today.
