oh man, let's just not give in to the absurdity of using Quadras as something actually meaningful. That unintentionally lowers the quality of discussion by using unproductive & childish concepts to assess the psychology of the characters. I will elaborate about Tyrion being an ILE through and through. First of all, Tyrion is the embodiment of Extroverted Intuition. Essentially, he is found where opportunities lie. Rather, he's able of generating these opportunities out of nowhere, skillfully managing the potential that each situation provides him with. In short, what I mean is that in any situation that Tyrion was put into, whether it was dangerous or not, he managed to find a way to avoid it. Why's it Ne, though? I can explain. Gregory Reinin defined Ne as "the integrity of the external situation" or the "wholeness" of it. Ne base types have this annoying confidence that they can get away from any situation because they can implicitly [intuition] and unconsciously feel how events are going to be displayed and which potentials they allow you. For them, everything has a causal link, a reason for existing, or follows a perfectly reasonable pattern even if we don't have the correct lens to view it through to be able to predict it yet. This happens supported by their intuition, that is able to have an immediate realisation of what surrounds a situation; and aware of such, they start to trick people into the exact direction they believe will lead them to escape safely to the best outcome. However, what I mean is that he's confidently annoying in his intuitions of opportunities. He's always known what to do, for he has the confidence of how the external will be displayed and as such acts pondering over the correct timing and often making "bets". For further understanding of what Ne means, I recommend reading Jung's Psychological Types as well. Moving forward, Tyrion's intellect is more subversive (Ti) than conforming (Te), and more about breaking down each component of the situation and looking from above with bits of irony in his subjective understanding, whilst Te is looking at the efficiency and utility while conforming with the object's existence. Ti thinks outside of the box and often touches upon ideas as Tyrion does. Tyrion is known for his philosophy quotes, for one, which I believe showcases his intellect out of touch with reality's demands of pragmatism (Te). › Tyrion values Fe; He hides his emotional deprivation and traumas with a relentless and unstoppable irony while depicting the situations he's found in, implicitly placing himself above them while speaking to his interlocutor, and these idiosyncrasies intentionally draw everyone's attention to him, like he's a sort of performer that wants to be amusing. However, Fe mobilising alongside Fi PoLR is like trying to make friends when you only know how to say the N-word with an R word. Fe activating coping would be: “I am so bad, worse than you can even imagine!”. Nevertheless, Tyrion definitely appreciates a joke-y environment and you can see that with his partnership with someone like Bronn, which of course lacks proximity and sensibility [he is Fi PoLR, after all] but is bounded by a similar general "vibe". › He also obviously values Si; Tyrion is a lover of enjoyable sensations; be it enjoying every single wine from the places he visits, be it sex, or simply adventuring himself with new sorts of tastes. › Ni ignoring; He ignores the internal complex situation oftentimes, and it is so ignored it has become unbearable at some point. It exists in extreme deprivation, given his incessant avoidance of pain and deep feelings [as a type 7] of inferiority once he's unfairly treated as **** by others that can't take his confident smug constantly. › Fi PoLR; He just easily falls in love and has no control or conscience over this implicit distance between himself and others. Fell in love for whor*s twice unintentionally. › Se isn't valued; Tyrion is literally a coward and admits it. Not quite a fighter--dislikes the battlefield & the intensity. Te doesn't really make for an important part of his characters. He goes where the potential to thrive lies, and isn't quite formulating profitable means for everything nor is he exploring his talents fully like I imagine a Te base would deem paramount for his own existence, nor does Tyrion look like a rational type ["ENTj"] that approaches the world by judging whether something fits his criteria or not. He's generally open to possibilities and avoids judgments. Simple as that.
