I tend to think that if the heart is the feelings and emotions, the head is the mind and thought, and the body/gut is the senses and instincts, then intuition encompasses all these qualities, which can coexist contradictorily, in the ninth type. Embracing All Perspectives (Contradiction): Type 9 is often described as having an "all-embracing" nature. They have an innate ability to see all sides of an issue and hold multiple, often contradictory, viewpoints simultaneously to maintain internal and external harmony. The "Glue" of the Enneagram: Because Type 9 is at the top of the Enneagram diagram (the "crown"), they are uniquely positioned to understand the perspectives of all other types. They can "merge" with others, taking on their thoughts, feelings, and energies, which allows them to understand head, heart, and body types better than most. Intuition Through "Merging": While Nines are part of the Body/Instinctive center, their intuition often comes from their ability to be social chameleons, intuitively knowing how to include and engage everyone in conversation.
