my verdict is that the Black thing is an ISFP. Why? Well, - The black thing can never truly define itself, and never actually has. It purely exists for the sole purpose of existing, and nothing more—just the way it likes to keep it. It doesn’t think divergently (like a Ne-dom would, generating possibilities and making unfiltered connections), or a Ni-dom (a convergent thinker who gathers data and links it all to a goal or possibly conclusion; a visionary who thinks symbolically), but rather it just stays the way it is. The Black thing isn’t a Fe-dom either, because it’s also not properly being attuned to emotions, social dynamics, nor societal norms. Ne and Fe would both operate as shadow-functions. The Black thing’s Fi shows by how it shows subjective loyalty to one person (K.B), and is about internal (emotional) consistency with its grounded identity. The term ‘consistency’ can be mixed up with both a Ti and Si, but what makes the Black thing’s Fi differ is what kind of consistency it is. Breaking Si down into its fundamentals, Si clings to routine, familiarity, and connects the present <-> past. Behaviourally, the Black thing is very engaged in the present through adapting to its surroundings (blacking out the person beside the subject: K.B), and shows very little—let alone dom or aux signs of Si. It doesn’t cling to the past nor routine, hence the reason why it is open to more sensory experiences. Ti is about coherence—which is another kind of consistency that the Black thing doesn’t have. It doesn’t chase of accuracy, verify ideas, or care about the internal logic and structure of an idea. Behaviourally, the Black thing doesn’t determine things through a Ti lens, and doesn’t see objects functioning with or as internal structures or properties (Ti/Te-dom/aux), but rather a felt-through lens with subjectivity—not out of routine or obligation (Si), not out of a need for coherence (Ti), and not out of being attuned to social norms or the emotions of others (Fe), but the personal preference to BE. - The Black thing’s Inferior Te is showed through how it sits as a static void, and its poor ability to organize and act efficiently, for the Black thing doesn’t actually NEED to define any of those things about itself to other people (and it literally can’t). Inferior Te also shows through the Black thing’s disruptive presence to the visual order within the external structure, and inability to truly adapt to maintain it—hence the reason why Fi is considered an ‘individualistic’ function when in reality that correlates more to e4, but I won’t jump into that. The Black thing is totally impractical, and doesn’t contribute much besides its sole presence. (nothing personal…) TLDR; - The Black thing is mainly engaged in the present but doesn’t always adapt accordingly. It’s is not a visionary (Ni-dom), an objective but experimental thinker (Ne), not very connected to its subjective past and doesn’t cling to familiarity (Si), and doesn’t cling to logical coherence (Ti). In fact, the Black Thing measures things through subjectivity, and is very visually disruptive (Fe/Te blindness). It lives to exist, and likes to keep it that way. (additional) - sx/sp because the black thing is has a quiet intensity to its object. - w8 suits the black thing’s stubbornness and inability to maintain visual harmony nor acknowledge how disruptive it is
