INTP and INTJ? You’re missing the whole point of the Backrooms. The reason the Backrooms make us feel so uncomfortable or uneasy is because they’re built on familiar structures and everyday architecture. They take what we already know—offices, hallways, empty rooms and twist it into an infinite maze of monotony and isolation. That sense of loneliness is one of the most important elements of the Backrooms, and of liminal spaces in general. It’s not about Ti, Ni, or any other cognitive function. it’s obviously Si. It plays on our stored experiences, the recognition of spaces we’ve seen a thousand times, only stripped of purpose and human presence. Just because something looks new and imaginative doesn’t mean its concept is new. The Backrooms are terrifying precisely because they recycle the familiar into something uncanny, infinite, and inescapable.
背景
The original Backrooms, without the lore criteria. If you're not careful and no-clip out of reality in wrong areas, you'll end up in the Backrooms, where it's nothing but the stink of moist carpet, the madness of mono-yellow, and endless background noise of fluorescent lights at maximum hum-buzz, and approximately six hundred million square miles of randomly segmented empty rooms to be trapped in. God save you if hear something wandering around nearby, because it sure as hell has heard you…
