He was interested in many fields and subjects (poetry, foreign languages, biology, alchemy), typical of Ne. He is not a Ne dom because even though he has many interests he sticks just to one of them, because his Ti helps him with convergence. The fact that he isolates himself from the world (inferior Fe) and takes a characteristically work-oriented approcch to life are typical signs of Ti dom. So his first 2 functions are Ti and Ne. He has a good sense of right and wrong which makes me think of Fi, but he is more of a Ti dom His enneagram is 5w4 for sure.
