watching this as an INTJ, there were so many signs of his cognitions in the film. the people around him, elizabeth’s initial impression, shows signs of his dom Ni vs. her dom Ne. not to mention he has that Ni presence that’s staring at u through the screen. he seems to be kinda out of the present and more focused on what will happen next. he’s planning things WAY in advance to get the desired outcome (the sisters’ marriages), and he knows what end goal will come out of it (lizzie’s fondness). he’s using Ni-Te together to do this (observations about what works in the outside world). always toward a singular goal in mind. he’s not changing himself around others to accompany how they feel (Fe), he sticks to himself no matter what impression he makes (Fi). this is seen in the horses scene with Mr. Wickham in front of the sisters. he’s very blunt (rain scene!) and direct (ending scene) about his feelings because he knows how he feels and has contemplated them in solitude. lastly, his observations to learn patterns about behaviors and ultimately to use this (not simply for knowing-Ti) with Ni to reach his goals “efficiently.” his Se shows with his Ni throughout his main goals (creatively planning them) in the film and taking everything into a singular bigger picture.
