His strong use of Se and Ni is shown by the nature of his ideation as it is often linear and certain in its conclusions. I haven't an idea how you could call Cobb an Ne user as it is made most clear throughout the movie when Eames and Ariadne are the ones coming up with ideas and suggesting possibilities, whereas Cobb entertains them, responds and comes up with the plan using Ni. His use of Ni makes him focused and critical in conjunction with Ti but narrow minded as he always seems certain about his conclusions, ignoring other possibilities. This could be more logically attributed to an ISTPs lack of Ne (PoLR) as in the last scene when Fischer ‘dies’, he says it's over after his plan fails and gives up before Ariadne again comes up with the idea of how to continue and complete the mission.
