I don't see any signs of Ti. He has no problems following orders, is very loyal, doesn't really question Aragorn or his leadership and decisions at any point and doesn't really show this independent Ti thinking. I think the reason why his Fi is not very clear and people therefore confuse him for an ISTP is because he is an elf and much older than any human- he therefore doesn't show any signs of immaturity and is very well at controlling and processing his emotions. Grand portrayals of Fi would have made him look less perfect, less collected and wise and more childish- the opposite of what they are aiming at with the elves. Elves are self-controlled, calm, collected, kind, wise and mature.
