Until this day I thought Boromir as an ESTJ, but after rewatching his death scene again he kinda looks like an ESFJ. In Council of Elrond scenes or the times when he tried to take the ring, Te is evident, but if we take look on a more general state, he's possessing the behaviours of a stressed ESFJ's. Here's some copy paste from the video: - He trains Merry and Pippin in swordplay and joins in on the wrestling match to lighten the mood. - When the Fellowship is stuck in the mountain pass he thinks about the hobbits and helps Gandalf notice that they'll die if they keep pushing them. - When Gimli is mourning Balin's death Boromir is the only one to walk over and comfort him and puts his hand on Gimli's shoulder. - When Gandalf dies Boromir understands what they're going through and tries to give them time to grieve. - When Frodo silently laments about Gandalf in Lothlorien, Boromir shows concern and gives him advice. - When they sit together in Lothlorien, Boromir tells Aragorn about the good in humanity and that he would be welcomed to Minas Tirith as a hero (trying to bolster Aragorn's confidence). - When he snaps out of the ring's corruption he immediately recognizes his mistake and sacrifices himself for Merry and Pippin.
