What personality type is Kankri Vantas? Kankri Vantas is an INTP personality type in MBTI, 1w2 - so/sp - 125 in Enneagram, in Big 5, LII in Socionics.
We don't really know enough about his inner motivations and thoughts to say anything for sure, but still, my interpretation is that he is an INTP. He wants to help people, whether it is his friends or society at large (Fe), but since his Fe is inferior, he ends up relying on a more distant, "intellectual" approach to the problems that often misses the point (unhealthy Ti). He examines all possible sides of all possibles issues, sometimes of issues that... really don't exist in reality (Ne) and then passes logical judgement (Ti). If you pay attention to his rants, you'll notice that his logic and connections are actually spot on, the problem is that he starts from premises that are nonsensical, he often assumes fantastical things as true, or blow things way out of their in real life proportion (childish/unhealthy Ne). Speaking of this, he's capable of remembering an impressive amount of detail about the social issues he studies (Si) and makes sure to convey every. Single. One. (Si as well, with some influence from all the other functions (Ti doesn't want to leave any detail that will stop people from properly understanding things, Ne can't focus on the important bits and tends to wander off, and Fe is as I explained on paragraph one).
