shortening this essay: i think haruka is an ISTJ. you can see her fi with the way she values being an idol the most in the world - which is why she became one, she always stays true to herself and others and is an idol for her own enjoyment - enjoyment of making others happy. she is also a main “manager” of more more jump - she is the one planning their training, she is the one looking for the most useful things to use in their marketing and cares a lot about the results of her strategy. she additionally doesn't like lazy people & is goal oriented. oh by the way i also think she is phlegmatic-melancholic over melancholic-phlegmatic, just because mainsto shows her at her worst mentally moment, it does not necessarily indicate melancholic as her dominant temperament. anyway continuing: be careful for major spoilers for haruka first image story (break time), mmj mainsto and a bit of first airis event story! & some more but its very minor. a lot of people on here are confused by harukas type and i get it! especially after only reading mmj mainsto, she may seem like she leans to fe over tefi (being an idol for her fans & wanting to satisfy others expectations, etc. you get it. i thought so too at the beginning) however! after reading mmj event stories (especially her first image event) and some of the card stories later on, i personally lean to ISTJ with quite well developed fe (which is the blind function for ISTJs but she is foremost a fictional character and its not impossible for ISTJs to develop it anyways) haruka is effective in her work, doesn't like lazy people and appreciates results more than anything! she is the one coming up with more more jump's training & is a main "strategist" (= manager considering mmj doesnt have a proper manager) together with airi! in the first airis image event, she was the person who came up with how more more jump can properly start as idols & she got them the basic ground for it. she is realistic & does not like considering things out of mmj's grasp because doing it seems pointless to her. she is bad with taking care of herself and she takes breaks only for the sake of efficiency - because breaks are supposed to help her stay relaxed not necessarily for the sake of relaxation. of course ISFJs can display some similar traits too but it seems like te to me. next: her image event focuses on shizuku who assumes haruka is just like her in the past! shizuku assumes haruka forces herself to satisfy everyone, overworks herself, makes herself seem like someone she isn't - all in sake of OTHERS. after many attempts of shizuku trying to make her relax (when its haruka who actually saves mmj from a lot of failes) shizuku decides to talk about it with haruka. haruka is surprised - she didn't feel like she was overworking herself at all. being an idol is the most important thing for HER. she doesn't self sacrifice herself for others! she wants to make others happy for her own sake since when she was a kid. she overworks herself to achieve the best possible results = satisfy her own goal of being an idol which is the thing she values the most. she wants to stay her true self while also making her fans happy. and it is the reason for why she doesn't realize how much she overworks herself no matter how tough it gets - she simply enjoys being her perfect self. she /WANTS/ to do it for /HERSELF/ (not saying fe users don't have things they enjoy! of course they have, but the wish alone to make people happy isn't necessarily fe. for haruka, its fi driven - she just wants to do things she likes doing - she wants to make people happy because its her ideal of person, it's the thing she values, fe users also have values but haruka's values come from inside not like fe user's values.) shizuku then gets surprised (and embarrassed) because well.. she went "she is just like me fr (a fe user)" and then got proven wrong by haruka herself. haruka also tend to not express her feelings outward - which is a direct contradiction to /extroverted/ feelings. she is sweet & kind and would love to make everyone happy but she still has a lot of harsher moments especially the ones coming from her misunderstanding of social cues or from her expecting a lot from herself & everyone at the same time. she does use a lot fe on the stage though! Haruka is very charismatic. She's the most popular member of the former idol group, ASRUN. Airi describes her as cheeky but weak.
