What personality type is Akito Shinonome? Akito Shinonome is an ISFP personality type in MBTI, 4w3 - sp/sx - 461 in Enneagram, RLOEI in Big 5, ESI in Socionics.
Here’s an argument with good sources explaining why Akito isn't a Te dom and why he just isn't an extroverted type. Sorry if this is messy. I originally started this months ago, but I got unmotivated and busy with other stuff. As a result, I held this off for a while. Keep in mind that the fact that I was unmotivated to write this and busy doesn’t make this argument untrue. It just means that I was unmotivated. Why Akito is an Fi dom: There are a lot of feeling descriptions that fit Akito a lot. For example, here's an excerpt from Jung's writing that fits Akito's tendency to fake his personality in front of others: "They neither shine nor reveal themselves. As they are mainly guided by their subjective feelings, their true motives generally remain hidden. Their outward demeanour is harmonious, inconspicuous, giving an impression of pleasing repose, or of sympathetic response, with no desire to affect others, to impress, influence, or change them in any way. If this outward aspect is more pronounced, it arouses a suspicion of indifference and coldness, which may actually turn into a disregard for the comfort and wellbeing of others." Another example is this feeling description that Jung wrote. It fits Akito if you ignore all the misogynist stereotypes. "Faced with anything that might carry her away or arouse enthusiasm, this type observes a benevolent though critical neutrality, coupled with a faint trace of superiority that soon takes the wind out of the sails of a sensitive person. Any stormy emotion, however, will be struck down with murderous coldness, unless it happens to catch the woman on her unconscious side—that is, unless it hits her feelings by arousing a primordial image. In that case she simply feels paralyzed for the moment, and this in due course invariably produces an even more obstinate resistance which will hit the other person in his most vulnerable spot. As far as possible, the feeling relationship is kept to the safe middle path, all intemperate passions being resolutely tabooed. Expressions of feeling therefore remain niggardly, and the other person has a permanent sense of being undervalued once he becomes conscious of it. But this need not always be so, because very often he remains unconscious of the lack of feeling shown to him, in which case the unconscious demands of feeling will produce symptoms designed to compel attention." Biography
"This world isn’t one where you can treat life as one big picnic." ― Shinonome Akito Shinonome Akito (東雲彰人) is a first-year student at Kamiyama High School. He is a member of the street music group Vivid BAD SQUAD. When Akito was in elementary school, he played for an unnamed soccer team. He was notably very good at soccer but he decided to quit after he and his team lost an important tournament. Some time after he quit playing soccer, he was dragged by his older sister, Ena (who was in middle school at the time), to a summer festival. After viewing a concert at the festival, Ena suggested that he should try out singing, and gave him a small speech, saying that he shouldn't give up on things without even bothering to try them. This kickstarted his interest in street music, which eventually grew into the dream of surpassing the legendary music event RAD WEEKEND. He now looks up to Shiraishi Ken, An's father who performed in RAD WEEKEND, and practices hard to achieve his dream.
