[ 1 / 4 ] Mizuki Akiyama: ESFJ argument. edit: holy shit they added classic jungian i’m in love Introduction: —— Hi there fellow Mizukiers! I thought it’d be interesting to try and give my own perspective as to why I believe Mizuki to be an ESFJ. (I had to find a new target after Airi has been successfully converted to ESFP lol). Believe it or not a lot of people judge on first impressions alone and that has a huge impact on Project Sekai. As usual, feel free to disagree with me and correct me if I get anything wrong. Even if you’re typing Mizuki as SeFe, PLEASE consider FeSe instead, because they’re blatantly Fe dominant. Mizuki being Fe dominant and countering Fi as a whole. Some quotes from Mizuki’s wiki page that will help me on my analysis: —— “Despite their energetic, carefree, and sometimes childish demeanor, Mizuki is often shown to be the most mature member […] *They often assume the role of mediator in arguments*, [...]” : Although acting as a mediator can just be an indication of high empathy or some 9 in their enneagram: * Mizuki assumes the role of mediator in order to not create a hostile environment. * The Fe dominant’s focus are interpersonal relationships and their state of harmony, which correlates to the quote showcased above. * Cultivated through observing how people react to one another > Mizuki’s main focus is to center their attention on other people’s needs, as we can see in the quotes below, even if unconsciously. * Fe maintains an actively harmonizing approach to life, looking to adopt objective standards that can avoid negative social consequences. > Although Mizuki does not wish to hide their true self, they’ve learned to “accept” that their real self is to be rejected in order to prioritize everyone else’s feelings. They reject and negate their preferences in order not to interfere with socially accepted rules. In this case, it is heavily implied to talk about their assigned gender at birth and their actual identity clashing. —— “Mizuki is fairly introspective, and is therefore usually the one to suggest breaks when they notice that their fellow members have grown tired or particularly stressed out. Where Kanade tends to hone in on a certain task, Mizuki keeps their attention at least somewhat rooted in reality, *able to sense changes in tension and atmosphere in the group.*” * Fe types […] are naturally more attuned to the feelings of others than their own. This has several implications: they primarily treat their feelings as objective evaluations of the world, they monitor people’s emotions, they monitor changes in the social atmosphere, they do more to adapt to social cues […] * Fi types are naturally more attuned to their own feelings than other people’s. This has several implications: they primarily treat their feelings as indicative of their own subjective state of well-being, they listen to their feelings, they are highly sensitive to changes in their own feeling state, they are naturally attentive to their own emotional needs […] If interested in these descriptions, mbti notes makes some great points in differentiating between Fe and Fi. I disagree with some stuff though, as I believe both Fe and Fi doms are able to experience the same amount of feelings with similar intensity - it’s just the source of these emotions that is different. Another thing would be to *perceive* these emotions as *less intense*, in which case I’d agree with it (since Fi doms are naturally more attuned to their own feelings). —— “[…] they have a very strong learned sense of boundaries; when to involve themselves in the affairs of others, and when to involve others in their own affairs. They acknowledge that they themselves are bound to have little understanding of others’ struggles before proceeding to offer an opinion. Mizuki carries with them a strong recognition of the struggles their fellow members face, and with this comes *a belief that the group isn’t an appropriate space to share their own struggles.* It seems that they stay secretive, to an extent, from an understanding that everyone has things they want to keep hidden.” * Highlighted sentence is a fantastic example of Fe at work. Whoever says “it’s just empathy” - it really isn’t, it’s SYMPATHY, which is heavily associated with Fe, not Fi. * FJs enjoy feelings, specifically, they like interacting with anything that generates positive feelings for them. Therefore, FJs often try to be positive people and are easily shaken when they don’t feel positive and, worse, don’t know why. FJs are more likely to use feelings as a measurement of acceptability, so *when they go through a negative period, they are likely to judge themselves as unacceptable.* * When FJs are forced to navigate negative social situations, they easily feel demoralized because of perceiving rejection at every turn, and such FJs *often become socially incompetent because of having to build thick defensive walls to protect their feelings.*
