What personality type is Kaeya? Kaeya is an ENTP personality type in MBTI, 7w8 - sp/so - 793 in Enneagram, SCOEI in Big 5, EIE in Socionics.
I've seen that people seem to claim they don't see Ne in him. For starters, I just want to clarify: Functions are not always textbook presenting and there's much more to Ne than 'spitting out ideas everytime you walk'. I can see why you'd see Fe aux in him, since he's charming and easily goes along with people. However, I think that Kaeya is morally grey in a sense that only a combination such as Ne-Fe would make him to be. The fact that he is often seen socializing with people no matter their moral alignment ('Hunters and bandits alike are often among Kaeya's drinking buddies...') Speaks about both open-mindedness directed to possibilities (collecting information, specially) and a good social intelligence (Fe). Besides, auxiliary Fe is a bit too strong for him. Auxiliary Fe is more inclined towards classical empathy (please keep in mind that classical empathy does NOT MEAN good intentions), or 'I can feel what you feel'. Whereas tertiary fe is not inherently a 'weak function', and it works as cognitive empathy ('I can understand how you feel, from an analytical point of view, without necessarily being contaminated by those emotions'). The way Kaeya does stuff, always getting out of the traditional way of doing things, much 'my style' speaks of Ne-Ti independence. ('(...) "As long as everything ends the way he wants, Kaeya doesn't care about the methods used") Besides, he has been described as 'overly laid-back and even lazy', often convincing others to do his job for him. Next, you have "Kaeya enjoys putting people into high-stress situations and challenging their values, which he does to both his enemies and his allies alike." Is there anything more Ne-Ti than questioning the hell out of a system of values? And tertiary fe, of course. Tertiary Fe will often seek a reaction from others, doesn't matter whether it is good or bad, and this is also why ENTPs often have such a hard time understanding that other people don't always want to question their own sense of identity all of the time.
