What personality type is Yelan? Yelan is an ENTP personality type in MBTI, 7w8 - sp/so - 738 in Enneagram, SCOEI in Big 5, LIE in Socionics.
[1/11] once again... yet another page suffering from a complete misunderstanding of what ne is, how it works, & how it actually looks. both ENTJ & ESTP are horrifically wrong for yelan - she completely lacks ni-se in it's entirety. the confusion here is arising from her being a clear LIE in socionics, which is leading people to believe that she has ni-se for her MBTI as well... but cognitively she's an ENTP without a doubt. her ne was legitimately *everywhere* in both the archon quest & her story quest. so let's get into this, because ne can quite easily be confused for se (or even ni, especially when talking about a ne user with socio ni). starting with some quotes on ne: > "Whenever intuition predominates, a particular and unmistakable psychology presents itself. Hence, the orientation of such an individual corresponds with purely concrete reality." > "Upon the lower levels this is the man of tangible reality, with little tendency either for reflection or commanding purpose. To sense the object, to have and if possible to enjoy sensations, is his constant motive." the primary difference between ne & se is that se is perceiving the immediate concrete reality of any situation (which inherently means that they're refusing to read into the situation & look beyond what can be objectively perceived with their senses, because ni is repressed in favor of se) while ne is perceiving the potential of objects in terms of what they could become. ne is only concerned with reality insofar as it will generate the possibility of what could occur, whereas se is only concerned with finding the highest sensory experience. now for ni: > "The peculiar nature of introverted intuition, when given the priority, also produces a peculiar type of man, viz. the mystical dreamer and seer on the one hand, or the fantastical crank and artist on the other. [...] As a rule, the intuitive stops at perception; perception is his principal problem, and—in the case of a productive artist—the shaping of perception.
