ISTJ VOTERS HEAR ME OUT, I MAY HAVE CRACKED THE CODE. I can definitely see remarkable traces of Si when Ida says he has no previous relationships to consider as terms of comparison with the whole situation with Aoki, which expresses his need to dig into his memories to give a meaning to his present. Nevertheless, I can also see strong use of Ti in the way Ida follows his own logic, since he find it hard to understand social norms and to conform to them. He’s so pure and honest because he doesn’t realise what people might think of him, which sounds very Fe inf to me. ❗️To clearly understand Ida’s MBTI we should consider it in relation to Aoki’s and their shadow function stack. Even though Aoki is an ENFP and formally Fe blind, he kinda does use his Fe in an unhealthy manner, since it’s his sixth and so-called senex/witch function, which sometimes comes out as a gift function and sometimes as Pinocchio’s Talking Cricket. This explains why he cares so much about other people’s judgment and social norms and external ethics. On the contrary, temporarily typing Ida as an ISTJ, his senex function would be Ti (which doesn’t really make sense to me), while Fe would be his seventh and so-called trickster function. ❗️Now let’s suppose Ida is an ISTP instead and let’s consider his shadow stack. While both dom Ti and inf Fe are used by Ida unconsciously, as his senex function Ida’s use of Si is totally conscious. In a situation of stress, such as Aoki’s sudden confession, Ida felt and readily responded to the sudden urge to dig into his past, but found no relevant informations for his Ti to analyse. Since Ida struggles a lot with the understanding of his own feelings, Fi as eight and demon function DEFINITELY MAKES SO MUCH MORE SENSE. After this analysis, ISTP honestly seems the best option.
