Volition MBTI Personality Type

Personality

What personality type is Volition? Volition is an ISTJ personality type in MBTI, 1w9 - sp/so - 154 in Enneagram, RCOAI in Big 5, in Socionics.

In essence meant to be the "lame" attribute, that of the political centrist who believes change should happen in a slow and gradual manner that complies with "the system", keeping Harry "sane", "normal" and (as literally stated and vaguely referenced in its achievements) "boring" throughout the game. Its purpose is adhering to protocol and filtering out any adverse reactions. This and Composure might as well be more properly characterized by Kim. In its neutrality lies a parody of every other ideology and reaction in addition to itself; it's meant to represent the internal monologue of the "average" person, those who most easily convince themselves everything will be fine because things will stagnate or not be as "extreme" as imagined anyway. It goes as far as to interrupt the only sequence of infatuation in the game, informing the player Harry's been compromised and his thoughts and reactions don't reflect a true "unbiased", "neutral" perspective. There is nothing Intuitive or in-your-face/ideological (enneagram 1) about the very idea that encourages the most grounded, down-to-earth perspective that prohibits jumping to conclusions and theorizing about alternate outcomes. "Cool for: Sane People, Well-Adjusted Cops, The Non-Suicidal Volition urges you to be a good guy – to others and to yourself. It enables you to resist temptation: be it in a bottle, between a pair of legs, or at the end of an iron barrel which promises oblivion. Volition gives you the will to finish the investigation, improving your Morale – one of the two health pools in the game. At high levels, Volition makes you hyper-sane. When you’re about to get funky, it keeps you normal. It’s a bit of a party-pooper. At low levels, however, you’ll have little Morale. Without it, you’ll be profoundly unstable cop, falling apart at the seams as you make irreversible mistakes."
