What personality type is Daemon Targaryen? Daemon Targaryen is an ESTP personality type in MBTI, 8w7 - sx/sp - 837 in Enneagram, SCUEN in Big 5, SLE in Socionics.
Daemon is Limbic > Calm Firstly, let's all agree that Daemon's Anxiety and Depression are both low, as he doesn't tend to believe that things will go for the worst and he hasn't shown any melancholic traits. His Anger and Immoderation are also obviously high. He's choleric, quick-tempered, impulsive and reckless. Therefore, we must discuss Self-Consciousness and Vulnerability, and why I believe that the first one is moderate and the second one high. Regarding Self-Consciousness, Daemon is extremely ambitious and somewhat image-focused. He wants to be an imposing, scary and prominent figure (as we see when he commands the City Watch), as well as desiring high status (wanted to be Viserys' heir). This aspect of his personality may also be conditioned by his e3 fix. The reason why I believe his Self-Consciousness is not high but moderate is that, although he wants recognition, he doesn't care that much about the overall opinion of others about him (a good example is Vaemond's execution, which probably made most Lords dislike him due to his seemingly violent nature). As for Vulnerability, I believe it to be high. This may come off as surprising as Daemon seems to be very assertive and confident, but I think he suffers from great insecurity and low self-esteem. In the first episode we already see how he has issues during his sexual intercourse with Mysaria, and we are also later told about how he couldn't finish with his wife Lady Royce, which indicates that he suffers from stress due to his family's conflict and role in it. Also, his "heir for a day" speech (in which his mockery of Baelon's death and boastful attitude seem to be a way to hide his inner regrets and demons) and his argument with Viserys that same episode shows that he is pretty much insecure about being the second son and the brother of the King instead of the King himself, suffering from a repressed inferiority complex. In short, although Daemon seems cocky he seems to be an insecure and vulnerable person due to his efforts to appear himself look cool even when having a rough time, as well as his envy towards his brother and his performance issues. Edit: 1x10 proves the high Vulnerability argument even more accurate. He physically assaulted Rhaenyra after finding out that Viserys told her the Song of Ice and Fire Propechy, but not him. He responded with violence because he realized that his brother didn't trust him that much and didn't consider him worthy enough of hearing the story. He saw himself as less, so he used physical abuse in order to appear more strong and important than he deep down knows he actually is.

Daemon is a renowned warrior and a dragonrider, wielding the Valyrian steel sword Dark Sister and riding the dragon Caraxes into battle.
