Biography
Viserys Targaryen was the 5th King of Westeros as King Viserys I Targaryen. He was favoured over his elder female cousin Rhaenys Targaryen in a ballot held by King Jaehaerys amongst the nobility. Viserys inherited the Iron Throne and has been holding the seat since 103 AC. Viserys naming his oldest daughter Rhaenyra as heir to the Iron Throne served as a catalyst of the series' driving plot.
