Part 1/2 𝗔𝘀𝗵𝗹𝘆𝗻𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗦𝗲𝘅𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗡𝗶𝗻𝗲 It looks like pretty much everybody has agreed that she's E9, which is good. Her lack of awareness of her own desires and motivations, as well as her need to maintain peaceful homeostasis at all times, are strong indicators of E9. I've unfortunately seen one SX3 vote though, so I'm going to quickly debunk that. 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗦𝗵𝗲'𝘀 𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝗮 𝗦𝗲𝘅𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲 Ashlynn doesn't display the vanity passion in the slightest. She doesn't cultivate her image to appear a certain way at all. Ashlynn was hesitant to go against the Royals, but this had nothing to do with maintaining status. It was due to a need to avoid conflict. Giving up one's desires in order to maintain peace among oneself and others is actually better aligned with E9. This isn't Ashlynn to say the least. She's not deceitful about her image or fixated on fitting a certain persona to please her beloved. She knows that Hunter loves her for who she is and vice versa. 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗦𝗵𝗲'𝘀 𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝗮 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗡𝗶𝗻𝗲 SO9 is the consensus and while it's not a bad take for her like SX3 is, I do think there are some flaws in this typing. She wants to fit in with the group due to conflict avoidance, but her drive to belong isn't rooted in a compulsion to feel like a part of things. SO9s feel like outsiders of a sort and to compensate for this, they heavily participate in group(s) and commit themselves to said group(s) out of an intense desire to belong. I don't see Ashlynn worrying about fitting in and participating in groups to this extent. She merely wanted peace. She didn't want to participate due to feeling a lack of belonging. She's also rather individualistic for a SO9, who wants to emulate the behavior of the group. It's important to note as well that she's a lot more focused on one-on-one relationships (Hunter, Briar, Apple, etc) than group relations. This brings me to my point about her being a SX9. 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗦𝗵𝗲'𝘀 𝗮 𝗦𝗲𝘅𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗡𝗶𝗻𝗲 Ashlynn is a soft-spoken, dreamy individual drawn to romance. In the books, she has a calendar featuring lumberjacks of the month and is often looking at it. Throughout the books and show, little of Ashlynn's life doesn't revolve around romance. She was too shy to pursue romance for a while though and merely imagined it, a trait common to SX9. Then Hunter came into her life and they quickly became attached at the hip. I think Ashlynn and Hunter's relationship is a less extreme example of a symbiotic relationship. Once they get together, there isn't much differentiation between the two of them. It's not Ashlynn and Hunter anymore, it's Huntlynn. They're even called Huntlynn by Blondie when they're being interviewed. They're rarely seen apart and Ashlynn's first thought is always to consult Hunter. For example, when Duchess needs help cleaning up the lake Ashlynn's immediate response is "I'll get Hunter." This is showcased more than ever in Epic Winter when they're swept into the dream world that shows their core desire. Hers is to have a happily ever after with Hunter. She finally acquired the romance she'd yearned for for years and once she found it, it became her whole world. Hunter became her everything.
