Fluttershy MBTI Personality Type
Personality
What personality type is Fluttershy? Fluttershy is an ISFJ personality type in MBTI, 9w1 - sp/so - 962 in Enneagram, RLOAN in Big 5, SEI in Socionics.
“ I am weak and helpless and I appreciate their understanding” this scene is literally a great indicator of why she’s a sx9 core and not a sp6, also shows her being more of a sp2 fix rather than 4 (which is what i’m gonna get into). Her whole motive in life is taking care of little critters and speaking on their behalfs, literaly every single scene in which she communicates her frustration openly and acts assertively has to do with her speaking up for someone else rather than for herself (examples: sticking up to the dragon when she saw her friends get mistreated, standing up for the bats in that one applejack epsiode, confronting her younger brother for slacking and crashing at her parents’, etc.) all of these instances listed display a sense of sloth, as she seems to be mostly connected to her anger, but that arguemnt has already been settled w ppl in the comments, what they also display is pride rather than envy. Fluttershy, although shy, has never really been shown displaying any form of envy because of her shyness, in fact she mostly sees it as an inconvenience because it seems to be getting in the way of things, but she never really beats herself up or dwells in self-pity because of it, nor does she -again- envy others who are more assertive than her. In fact, her whole character development relyed on her utilizing her anger correctly rather than fixing her self-perception, or easing the hatred she feels towards herself or others because of her shyness, as it never even existed. Pride usually has connotations of superiority and grandiosity, but in the enneagram realm, that’s not really the case. Pride in the E2s manifests itself as the feeling that one inherently has smth that others lack, and therefore they have the duty to use that privilege to service others, and or take on a societal role. In the SP2, the counter-pride type, pride is usually hidden and a more sweet and submissive exterior is showcased, in order for them to secure their relationships. Looking at her relationship w animals, she acts as a representative/caretaker because she sees it as her mission to do so, she was granted with the gift to communicate w animals and therefore she HAS to act as a caretaker: “When it is for the other, it is the subtype most prone to exhausting itself, without taking into account its own needs. They don't get enough rest or time. They love to entertain at home and cook, but maybe They don't allow themselves to enjoy the dinners and parties they offer. They subconsciously want their needs to be met, but they are rarely able to ask for help frankly, instead waiting for the other person to guess.” “This subtype is more childlike, and more fearful and shy, than other Type 2 subtypes. They appear charming, youthful, and playful, but are also more sensitive to being hurt. They are more ambivalent about connecting with others and focus on creating rapport, but they may also withdraw when hurt or reluctant to commit.” This mostly is evident when you see the way that she behaves with her animal friends as well as her closest pony friends. Also, the episode where she literally kidnaps Celestia’s pet phoenix I think serves a sthe best piece of evidence of her internalized pride when it comes to her animal caretaking skills. Ok thats it i rest my case bye 🫶🏼
