What personality type is Yu Ishigami? Yu Ishigami is an INTP personality type in MBTI, 6w5 - sp/sx - 649 in Enneagram, RLUAI in Big 5, ILI in Socionics.
Since I see a few people voting INFP after last week's episode, let me just leave this here. Being an INTP doesn't make you automatically emotionless or lack personal values, morals etc (in fact that's almost never the case, please don't think of us like this bc of stupid stereotypes). Throughout all of the episode of his backstory, it is quite clear that all of his strong justice beliefs are more so based on personal logic and what makes and doesn't make sense to him than anything else, which would be Ti, not Fi. It is repeated that all of that situation didn't make sense to him, which is why he started a fight, and also pretty clear that, despite his doubts and all, the real reason he didn't write an apology was because he knew he was clearly in the right, so no matter what it is not a logical thing to apologize. I'd also like to say that throughout all of the show, it is very obvious that he has inferior Fe, which we do actually see him develop as the plot progresses. He is very bad at reading situations, has poor social skills, doesn't know when to talk or what to say in emotionally charged situations, always ends up accidentally hurting/insulting fragile ENFP Chika, everything points out to inf Fe. In general, he is more of an everyday, tamer example of how INTPs look in real life, unlike many fictional INTPs that are too exaggerated on certain aspects.
Biography
Ishigami is a reserved and somewhat gloomy student who would rarely show up to the student council meetings, preferring to do most of his work at home. He normally spends most of his time playing video games by himself, as he is generally be disliked by the other students due to an incident that occurred in his past. Ishigami has an incredibly cynical and depressing outlook on life, often going on long rants against youth and the other students who he refers to as “normies”. This discontent very obviously comes from his own misery and loneliness as he seems very jealous of the guys who are popular and manage to get themselves a girlfriend. Ishigami can be quite awkward at times, making statements that cause others to see him as a creep. That being said, he is quite snarky and is often the one to make sarcastic remarks pertaining to the situations he gets in. Despite his negative attitude, Ishigami is a kind and well-meaning student who suffers an inferiority complex.
