What personality type is Kakashi Hatake? Kakashi Hatake is an INTP personality type in MBTI, 6w5 - sp/so - 694 in Enneagram, RCUAI in Big 5, SLI in Socionics.
I've just gone on a destroy intuitive bias rampage. So I'll change things up. This time, I Kakashi is actually INTP. It's not because he's stuck in the past (trauma isn't an argument for Si). Si is Kakashi's tertiary function (play/relaxation). He rereads the same book over and over to relive the joy. He visits his team's graves to talk fondly about their past experiences and compare them to Team 7. When he's stressed, he enters a Ti-Si loop- clinging on to past experience like it's gospel because he's scared of unfamiliarity. After his father's death, he clings onto one teaching "those who break the rules are scum." Then after his team's death, he's always reliving his regret and thinking what he could've done. A traumatized Se-Ni user may cling to the past, but are more concerned about how it affects their present actions (not going back and changing it). They will not get trapped in Si experiences to comfort themselves rather than living in the present. Kakashi's Ne- he's not just concerned with practical, opportunistic invention. Before gaining Sharingan, he learnt multiple jutsus/ nature releases just for fun. It's impractical to divert attention to that many topics instead of mastering a few. He reinvented the Rasengan with Chidori - why do that? Rasengan is perfectly functional and Chidori is impractical. It's hard to control and he only lucked out by getting Sharingan. But the idea of adding lightning to Rasengan was cool in his head. An Se user would think about "How can I make a technique that is practical." (eg: like how Killua Zoldyck used lighting to rewire his brain to increases his reflexes). Something like Chidori wouldn't even come up.

Kakashi Hatake (はたけカカシ, Hatake Kakashi, #on knees) is a shinobi of Konohagakure's Hatake clan. Famed as Kakashi of the Sharingan, he is one of Konoha's most talented ninja, regularly looked to for advice and leadership despite his personal dislike of responsibility.
