he’s ESFP in my opinion. He jumps into battle headfirst at every turn, especially if he’s been insulted— aka having his pride hurt. Highlight would be Shigechi arc. It’s a running gag he bursts into tears whenever he feels he’s being insulted, which is often, because he’s pretty horrible at telling other people’s feelings. While not all Fe doms are good at this, they still live for the emotions of others. I don’t see this in him at all. Ironically, Okuyasu isn’t dumb. Not with strategy, we see that multiple times. It’s a mix of lack of Fe and over reliance on his brother + having it drilled into his head that he’s stupid by said brother rather than genuine incompetence, which allowed his enemies to consistently outsmart him by taking advantage of this. He’s horrible at reading body language and other’s emotions in the way a fe dom would never be. That’s why he looks dumb. He can’t tell why Josuke would help his dad instead of fix the cane, can’t tell which worker is akira is on the boat even though he’s suspicious as hell, can’t see red hot chili pepper is obviously playing him. Because he’s so steadfast in his beliefs. Like that constant trying to convince josuke his brother was good, that came across to me as someone with majorly hurt Fi trying to be like “you understand my feelings, right? right?” Let’s get to Te too- okuyasu is definitely not an ideas guy. He’s pretty “let’s get this over with” actually. Like, again at the akira arc, instead of streamlining ideas he decides to just punch both of them. I don’t think it’s that his Ti is inferior, I think that his Ni is. Look at how he constantly calls his own decisions dumb, how he jumps headfirst into things rather than think them out. Not because he lacks internal logic— but because he’s just afraid of relying on himself and what *HE* thinks is right (intuition) due to his brother always choosing for him. He’s got a bad case of inferior Ni and strong Se and Fi. That’s why I think he’s ESFP. feel free to disagree, I like this character so discussion would be fun 👌👌
Biography
Okuyasu Nijimura (虹村 億泰, Nijimura Okuyasu) is a deuteragonist featured in Diamond is Unbreakable. Introduced as an antagonist, Okuyasu soon becomes Josuke Higashikata's best friend. They stay close friends throughout Part 4 and tackle malevolent Stand users together. He is also Keicho Nijimura's little brother and also a Stand User wielding the fearsome "The Hand".
