What personality type is Narancia Ghirga? Narancia Ghirga is an ESFP personality type in MBTI, 6w7 - so/sx - 682 in Enneagram, SLUAN in Big 5, SEE in Socionics.
The first point i would like to draw attention to is the fact that enneagram 6 belongs to the head triad while 8 the gut. The head triad is linked to anxiety, as the primary focus of the head types is how they escape said anxiety. Narancia is really not shown to struggle with such things due to his being straightforward and grounded. The gut triad however, is associated with that of the body and that of anger, more specifically how one deals with anger. This is more appropriate for Narancia’s character as his main character traits throughout the show connect to his anger and impulsiveness. Secondly, the fixation of enneagram 6. Which is characterized primarily by fear, fear of mistakes, fear of aloneness, fear of being in the world without protection. They are aggressive to those they view as below and submissive to those above because of their idealization of authority. 6s are indecisive and constantly staggering in the moment due to their inability to be definitive. The consensus for narancia is specifically sx6 which may seem to be fitting at first glance as the sexual subtype is the counter type to 6 and shows more retaliation and out-right aggressiveness than the other subtypes but really sx6 is still, at its core, a paranoid, indecisive, and overall fearful type. Narancia does not primarily display the main fixation of fear or cowardice as he prefers to do things “his way” and shows aggression to anyone outside of his group. Narancia also does not paralyze in intense situations like a 6 would, rather he embraces and flourishes in them. For a better fitting enneagram type I say we instead look to 8 of the gut triad. 8s fixation is vengeance, characterized by hostility, assertiveness, and realism. They externalize their anger plainly and act on it. Narancia is very reactive to anger and explosive in his reactions. 8s are also very confident in their abilities and often do not stagger at the sight of danger. They idealize competency in the way they tell themselves “i don’t need help, i can handle it myself”. Narancia shows these traits in his quick-temper, violent outbursts, and often unneeded aggression. These traits can be seen in narancia throughout part 5 but to highlight some specific points: -episode 5 when narancia first appears he is immediately characterized by external anger when he and fugo literally brawl over something as insignificant as a math equation. -episode 9-11 after he encounters formaggio and gets angry, he lashes out at him screaming that he’ll kill him also revealing to his opponent his stand without much thought to how that would effect his leading moves/the rest of the fight. He proceeds to set the whole of the road on fire to defeat formaggio instead of trying for any safer option (both for him and bystanders) which can be attributed to 8s tendency to getting absorbed in intense situations. -episode 22 when he mistakenly takes a civilian for an enemy gang member and immediately beats them senseless. Narancia also has dominate se both in socionics and mbti which can heavily correlate to e8 because of 8s sensory-motory disposition and need to be kept soley in the current reality. Se in socionics is also defined as force, willpower, and readiness which again relates largely to 8s directness and lust for intensity. Out of the three subtypes of 8, narancia resembles most that of the social. Social 8s are more attuned to social groups than the other subtypes and prefer staying with a loyal pack over acting alone. They are less aggressive for seemingly no reason than the other 8 subtypes because they turn their anger to working for the group rather than against it. Though social 8s still hold the 8 trait of rebelliousness they use it to the advantage of their defined group. Narancia demonstrates these qualities quite clearly in how he expresses his high loyalty to bucciarati’s group and tends to be calmer and more playful around them. Overall Narancia fits the gut triad over any other and specifically 8 fits him based on his expression of anger, violence, impulsiveness, and realism. Social 8 is the most likely subtype as he prefers loyalty to his close knit group rather than to deviate on his own like the other subtypes of 8 would. Narancia Ghirga (ナランチャ・ギルガ Narancha Giruga) is a major ally featured in Vento Aureo. He is a member of Team Bucciarati and, by extension, Passione. Narancia follows Giorno and Bucciarati in their mission to protect Trish Una. He is also a Stand User and fights with a miniature fighter plane, Aerosmith.
