What personality type is Claude von Riegan? Claude von Riegan is an ENTP personality type in MBTI, 7w8 - so/sx - 739 in Enneagram, SCUAI in Big 5, ILE in Socionics.

That's how we win!” The Chestnut social 7 description and it’s consquences. I was taking a break from making arguments but I really did miss it so here I have a shorter one (I gotta stop thinking I'll make a short argument, my god); Claude is a social 7. I’ll first shortly explain the differences between E5 and E7 and then I will explain the subtype fixation, since I do think he’s quite the example of what a social 7 looks like. 《E7 vs E5》 A general idea is that E5 is the only knowledge oriented enneagram. This notion is mainly pushed by the Riso-Hudson theory, but generally, every head triad type is depended on knowledge. The 5 gathers knowledge as a way to prepare and avoid from fear/energy loss and to live vicariously through it, the E6 seeks a strong principle to follow and have passion for reasoning because of their excessive doubt and the E7 depends on knowledge as a way to avoid unpleasantness and to escape to a utopic world. The E5 however is avaricious. It has a fundamental believe that the world will drain them if they interact with it too strongly. They hereby isolate their emotions and desires and retreat into their own. Claude is against most E5 characteristics. You can at best say hes avaricious for knowledge, but he’s brimming with enthusiasm and has a very general open attitude. Whilst the social E5 interacts more with a select few, they usually hand pick them based on how much they resemble their totem ideology: “A totem is a symbol or emblem representing a family or social group, and this is what a Social Five lives in the shadow of and also wants to be. He is very aware of social archetypes and wants to embody them, becoming an exemplar or a fount of knowledge. He may develop expertise in a specialized field in which he wishes to be the next in the lineage, and wants to be seen as such.”³ Claude less so is trying to become a part of the totem as he’s trying to change the world according to his ideals. He doesn’t desire to be in the know for his intellectual ideas and desires his philanthropic efforts as a way of realising a world he would’ve wanted to grow up in. Claude is filled with desire for this goal and is rarely repressive, something very uncommon for the 5. He’s not hesitant in social interaction, He’s actually trying to mess with most of his counterparts in his supports, which a 5 with a engulfment fear would avoid. If you look at the E5 trait structure, you’ll soon come to realise he fits none of it. That of the 7 however does very well. He’s intellectually rebellious against the church, persuasive and seductive of his environment and has an image of fraudulence in his tricks and mysterious image. Nobody ever knows what Claude is up to and he likes to keep it that way. You can even see a glimpse of narcissism in the way he acts around people such as Lorenz. “The passion in Five is avarice, which most dictionaries define as greed for money. Although Fives may be stingy with money, for most Fives the greediness is not for great wealth, but may in fact be quite the opposite: to hold on avariciously to the few things in the world they claim as their own. People who see the world through the lens of the Five usually require very little, for they are truly minimalists. They think that if they do not have much, then the world will leave them alone. Fives are also very greedy when it comes to their privacy; isolation becomes their way of defending against the intrusion of the world.”¹ Is a universal E5 trait which Claude does not share nor is motivated by. You can for instance see this type of behaviour in Linhardt although he is of the self preservationist type. Claude is more of a glutton, someone who wants to know more and change the world according to his ideas: “Also, an attraction to that which is beyond the boundaries of one’s own culture reflects the same displacement of values from here to there; and the same may be said of the typical anticonventional tendencies of type VII. In this case, the ideal may be in a utopian, futuristic, or progressive outlook rather than in existing cultural models. Hedonistic Permissiveness. A pair of traits inseparable from the gluttonous pleasure bias, are the avoidance of suffering and, concomitantly, the hedonistic orientation, characteristic of ennea-type VII personality.”² Seems much more persistent in his goal to alter the world. Biography
Claude von Riegan is the future leader of the Leicester Alliance and house leader of the Golden Deer. A young man who’s sociable and often smiles. Claude has the look of a person who carefully considers things and possesses keen insight. His weapons of choice are bows.
