I struggle with if Felix is an 8, a sx6, or a 5. All fit him very well. I am casting a vote with him as an 8. An 8w9. He's not particularly a peacemaker, but he's certainly not an enthusiast lol. Dude rarely smiles. He wants to do his thing and be left alone. Very stubborn. 8s and 5s can look pretty similar. They have a line of connection. Especially if the 8 is introverted and an sp8. The sp8 is the "survival" 8, which can look like a 5. 8s have an antisocial streak. Dorothea says shes never met a noble so "unsociable". All his values go against the social structure of his peers and country. 8s detest losing control and actually greatly fear physical harm. Felix hates chivalry for both of these reasons. He comments how it romanticizes death, and how it robs people of their free will/ability to think for themselves (Ashe and Ingrid supports). This also makes it less likely that he's a sx6. Who actively flirt with danger and want to appear stronger and more imposing. Felix does want to protect himself and others, but he avoids dangerous situations really. In other words, he's not counterphobic. 8s typically struggle with experiencing vulnerability. The emotional structure of an 8 is sometimes depicted as a tough armor on the outside, and a soft interior. Felix is a softie inside. Dimitri introduces him as having "a bit of a sharp tongue. but dont let that fool you, deep down, he's a good guy." Bernadetta says he's just a "big ol nut" that, once you get past the mean shell there's all sorts of good stuff inside. Dimitri says he's like Glenn, always looking for a fight, but deep down cares more than anyone. Felix admits to Dimitri his vulnerability. "I'm not immune to emotion, you know. Far from it. I haven't gone a day without questioning why my father and brother had to die, while I survived. I'll bear this pain until the day I die, but I refuse to wallow in it. I have more important things to do than blubber for my whole life." -Dimitri and Felix A support To be honest, most of his supports revolve around him expressing, with aggression and difficulty, his warm feelings towards his comrades. Getting angry at Mercedes and Dedue for putting themselves in danger. Telling Bernadetta and Annette he likes them. Wanting to give Sylvain a hug. The way Felix shows his concern is also 8ish. 8s often show their concern through confrontation and truth-telling. Telling you what you need to hear, whether you like it or not. Sometimes he's totally wrong and off-base, but many times it is exactly what his partners need to hear. Their desire to help and protect others (integration to 2), is a guttural feeling. He always says "I just couldnt stand that pitiful look on your face". This is unlike 1's (like Dimitri or Edelgard) who view help and justice on a broader, more idealistic scale. For Felix it's straight from his heart, and deep down. Ingrid: "you want to become stronger than anyone else, so you can protect those you care about" Many of these traits could apply to a 5 as well. And Felix does have the 5ish fear/tendency to cut off and limit his dependency on others, so he's not expended. What makes me think 8 more than 5 is 5s can often struggle with taking action. They can be content to just THINK about their ideas and interests, without pursuing them seriously. Think Linhardt. Always reading about crests, never ready to become a crest researcher. 8s usually have the opposite problem. They act first, and then they think later. This fits for Felix as well. Felix is impulsive, speaks his mind, and in a later support (like Sylvain's) will apologize for going too far. 8s usually have to dial down, 5s have to dial up. Felix is a gut, action type first. He only cares about training and getting stronger, without really thinking why.

Biography

The second son of the ducal House of Fraldarius, and a friend of Dimitri since childhood. He is hard to approach and is devoted to honing his swordsmanship to the point he will challenge any strong person he meets to a duel immediately.
