What personality type is Dr. Sam Owens? Dr. Sam Owens is an INFJ personality type in MBTI, 5w4 - so/sp - 521 in Enneagram, RCOAI in Big 5, LII in Socionics.
No way is his Fe inferior, it's wayy too strong. Plus i don't see any Ne. Ni is clear in the way that he has this plan and goal he's stuck to ever since he started working at Hawkins Lab. He wants to experiment and discover the anomalies, but not at the expense of others, which is where his Fe comes in. Unlike Brenner, Owens empathizes with and puts the needs of the patients (such as El) ahead of the experiments. A good example is (SPOILER ALERT FOR SEAS. 4) when he gave El as much freedom as he could when they were beginning the NINA project. He understood her possible desire to leave and not relive those past trauma, and gave her the choice to leave any time she wanted. This perfectly contrasts Brenner's Te Fi, which puts the efficiency and purpose of the project ahead of El's feelings and is willing to hurt her again to regain her powers. Owen's definitely has good Ti, but it's not stronger than his Fe in my opinion.
Biography
Dr. Sam Owens (portrayed by #PaulReiser) is a United States Department of Energy executive who replaces Brenner at Hawkins Laboratory. Owens is as committed to science research and stubborn as his predecessor, but much more empathetic to the residents of Hawkins Lab. Owens is in charge of studying and treating Will's lingering traumatic episodes from the Upside Down.
