What personality type is Sam Healy? Sam Healy is an ISTJ personality type in MBTI, 6w5 - sp/so - 612 in Enneagram, in Big 5, ESI in Socionics.
One of his main flaws was that he tried to understand people by making general logical rules about them (Te). That's also were his generalizations about women, lesbians etc. come from, and which frustrated him immensely when he tried to build relationships. We can constantly see him try and fail connecting with people, because Te is a bad cognitive function for social interaction; e.g. he tries to find efficient ways to connect with people (like, giving gifts, trying to make broad rules about women), but people are not machines where you can put impersonal data in and get the result that you want. The difference between Te and Fe is that Te is impersonal and Fe is personal. Fe KNOWS that people are subjective, inconsistent, complex and 'irrational', influenced by emotions and their past, and factors this in (which makes Fe a bad function when it e.g. comes to handling criticism, because Fe focuses on the person instead of the criticism.). Te tries to look at things in an objective, impersonal way, and ignores personal factors -> which is why Te is often about efficiency. Additionally, he often misreads people terribly. Takes them by their word, doesn't look deeper, doesn't notice subtle behavior; uses weird Si-Te rules to understand them. Someone with Fe would also not be this blind about people. His biggest tragedy was that he tried so much but failed so hard at caring for people adequately lol. I must say, I had a weakness for him. I see him as a good person who constantly fails to connect because he doesn't know how, hurt my heart tbh.
