yet another INFP type 9 that people mistake as having Fe :))) I’ve said this before, but @ INFJ believers: you agree that Fi has strong values and morals, yes? you also agree that Yugi is a type 9, correct? okay, and what does a type 9 value and strive for above all else? peace and harmony. this manifests as an Fi user who is generally non-confrontational, unless someone really really pushes their boundaries about what they feel to be right or wrong. most INFP’s, even if they aren’t type 9’s, are not fans of conflict- it is emotionally draining on us because we take things so personally, and bear the heavy weight of feeling so deeply, even over a topic that others might find unimportant or trivial. the BIGGEST example of Yugi’s dom Fi is when he lets Atem take over to duel Kaiba before they meet Pegasus, and Kaiba jumps up onto the ledge and dares Yugi to attack, pointing out that the shockwaves would potentially cause him to fall to his death. Atem is all for it, ready to do ANYTHING it takes to win. My Fi soul h u r t to see Yugi’s conflict and struggle, and finally he breaks and forces Atem away to let Kaiba win. After that, Yugi is shaken to his absolute CORE (for a couple of episodes at least pfft), and he doesn’t even acknowledge his friends trying to help him snap out of it- he’s scared, dizzy, disoriented, that he had lost control of himself and almost done something so horrible. He also fears Atem a bit after that, terrified of letting someone else control his actions in ways that could go against his //values//. THAT is Fi at it’s absolute finest, people, take notes. Fi is not always selfish. an Fi user who values kindness and harmony can be just as compassionate and caring as an Fe user, and sometimes with much more authenticity and even more passion.
Biography
Yugi Muto (武む藤とう 遊ゆう戯ぎ Mutō Yūgi), also romanized as Yugi Mutou, is the main protagonist of the original Yu-Gi-Oh! series, along with Yami Yugi. It was stated once that Yugi is the modern day version of Pharaoh Atem. Together with the spirit of Pharaoh Atem, he holds the title "King of Games".
