Nicolaus Copernicus MBTI Personality Type
Personality
What personality type is Nicolaus Copernicus? Nicolaus Copernicus is an ENTP personality type in MBTI, 5w4 - so/sp - 512 in Enneagram, RCUEI in Big 5, LII in Socionics.
Why not 5w4? He seemed to place a rather unusual aesthetical and religious criteria in his heliocentrism than a strictly scientific one. He was probably hanging around with Neoplatonic hippies back in his days (although to be fair nothing impedes 5w6's from being artistic, and in Copernicus' case mostly everyone in his social class was Apollonian/Neoplatonic anyway). Another evidence that he was a 5w4 is that he criticized Ptolemy's astronomy solely on grounds of math he either couldn't understand or found too complicated, and not the predicability it could yield from the revolution of spheres. He had also made the wild assumption that complicated math was only there to obfuscate potential failings of geocentrism (a fallacy at best). The irony of this is that his model was barely simpler, if anything more convoluted than geocentric astronomy.
