[Warning: Spoilers] Reason I (Ti Dominant) ➢ The use of Ti in INTPs is descision-making based on logical analysis done over periods of time in their heads. This describes Conan's analyzing of frequent cases as well as the movements made by his 'enemies'. Example(s): Taking notice of behaviors, common habits, and evidence against culprits that he often encounters, and the actions of members such as Gin and Vodka from the Black Organization. If not, Conan would not only deduce the solutions to cases (which would obviously pass off as irrational and rash), but also take action against the Black Organization. This cognitive function is why TiNe(s) primarily utilize rationality/objectivity, and drives their thirst for knowledge. Due to its placement in the INTP main function stack, the other cognitive functions (of lower use) are said to "serve and uphold the Ti". It is most likely that it is for this reason that Conan prizes the truth about anything, which can, most of the time, make hime seem insensitive and cold. Reason II (Ne) ➢ TiNe recieve information, serving the Ti, using Ne. This meaning that they use their intuition to locate patterns, underlying principles, and ideas, to construct theories/frameworks, and to form connections as they communicate and create. It can make INTPs appear quite "rambley" at times, because they can jump from topic to topic basing off of the connections they're making in the moment rather than following a more linear path of conversation. This summary of Ne describes many things about Conan Edogawa's character both in the anime and manga. For example: ➢ The sheer (almost constant) pattern-sensing in people's habits, behaviors, and sometimes even core fears and motivations, in spite of whether or not they are on his 'side'. ➢ The way he constructs frameworks or/for theories that ally with his methods of reasoning, as well as his means of solving minor to major problems. This also goes with his love for solving problems through conversation, and discussions. It is for these multiple accurate/detailed reasons that Conan Edogawa is an INTP.
Biography
Conan Edogawa (江戸川 コナン Edogawa Konan) is the alias used by Shinichi Kudo in his shrunken form. Shinichi took the appearance of his six or seven year old self after being exposed to a prototype poison called APTX 4869, which he had been forced to swallow by two men in black later revealed to be members of the Black Organization. The poison de-aged Shinichi's entire body except for his nervous system and therefore he still has the personality, memories, and incredible deductive ability of his teenage self. Conan's goal is to hunt down the Black Organization and have them arrested for their crimes, as well as find an antidote to the APTX 4869. To do so he plans to make the washout detective Kogoro Mouri famous in hopes of attracting cases related to the Black Organization. #MinamiTakayama #WendeeLee
