Aizen shouldnt be confused for a type that is oriented around the fulfillment of intellectual conclusions, the prioritization of metrics to be followed or implemented into the environment, nor should he be confused for someone who is concerned about achievement. Aizen’s overall reason for being is rooted in the desire to understand the nature of why things are the way they are, and the pursuit of more data to satiate this need to continually build on this internal mindmap of the reality of things. Just like Erwin, who is perceived as a Te dominant type, Aizen as well has this need to understand the nature behind the reality of things, and to pursue knowledge in order to grasp at an understanding and enlighten the masses or adhere to those who share his interests. Aizen showcases textbook aspects of Ni dominance and social 5 inclinations. Type 1 is a mistype, same as type 3, because unlike the 1, Aizen, spanning back to his time when Shinji was his captain, has not showcased a dominant attitude, and I emphasize dominant, of resentment mor does he show a perfectionistic desire to reshape the present for more favorable methodologies. Rather, Aizen has always been in search of the object that can illuminate perspective, which is the hogyoku. Unlike the 3, Aizen is not concerned with aspects of vanity in line to his fitting into a higher class. Its certainly there in his tritype, both of these types, but his perceived arrogance is entirely intellectual and like that of the social type 5 in that Aizen perceives himself to have more valuable interests than the rest of Soul Society he percieves as ordinary. The social 5 has the attitude of being the individual who ventures off into the unknown to illuminate perspective to the tribe, and they can be disdainful of those who do not share their interests and attitudes. “These Fives do not relate to regular people in everyday life- they relate to easily idealized experts who share their ideals; to people who display what they see as outstanding characteristics based on shared values and knowledge and who they can keep at a certain distance.“. With Aizen, notice how he tends to look down on most of the people of Soul Society for their willful ignorance, yet people like Urahara he holds a high degree of respect for, as he perceives him to share that same interest in the sublime as well as a curiosity to understand the full nature of the truth. “In looking for and adhering to super-values, they can be disdainful of ordinary life and ordinary people. The life of the mind feels more compelling, and the people at a distance who represent the extraordinary seem more seductive and interesting to them than the people they meet in everyday life.”. Notice how Aizen’s superiority complex in regards to intellectualism makes him hold high reverence for the beings who know more, such as the soul king. Overall Aizen is simply after the pursuit of knowledge and perfecting his internal mindmap in correlation to the full scope of reality.Ni dom type 5 makes the most sense to me.
Biography
Sōsuke Aizen (藍染 惣右介, Aizen Sōsuke) is the former captain of the 5th Division in the Gotei 13. He later leaves Soul Society with his followers, Gin Ichimaru and Kaname Tōsen.
