Hannibal Lecter MBTI Personality Type

Personality

What personality type is Hannibal Lecter? Hannibal Lecter is an INTJ personality type in MBTI, 5w4 - sx/sp - 541 in Enneagram, RCOEI in Big 5, EIE in Socionics.

These are the absolute worst arguments for Fe. Lecter has NO interest in appeasing the people around him or establishing any sort of connections with anyone. The only reason he even bothers with Clarice on their first meeting is because of, as said by him, her amiable reception of common courtesy and establishment of trust, a set of morals that Lecter clearly places a lot of weight upon. To expand on that, even after Clarice tries to be a little defiant against Lecter's threats and makes him lose any interest on her, once he sees what Miggs does to her he instantly elaborates a plan and some clues (Ni-Te) to make her familiar with Buffalo Bill (in his mind, at least). All out of sheer distaste and disgust for Miggs' antics (Obvious Fi). Here's one tip for all the people trying to re-invent the wheel and theorizing on unhealthy types, dark empaths, looping functions and other stuff. When you hear hooves, think horse, not zebra. Hannibal Lecter (as portrayed in Silence of the Lambs at least) is as textbook of an INTJ as there can be. Don't try to think zebra just to shoehorn him as an INFJ. We've already lost Jigsaw's profile to this line of thinking. Let's not make that mistake again.

Biography

Usually unfailingly polite... providing the company is polite in return. A common remark about the character and Hopkins' portrayal in particular is that Hannibal is so charming and witty you'd have dinner with him, even at the risk of ending up on the menu.
