Janis Ian MBTI Personality Type

Personality

What personality type is Janis Ian? Janis Ian is an ISFP personality type in MBTI, 4w3 - sx/so - 487 in Enneagram, RLUEI in Big 5, ESI in Socionics.

She is the paradigm of unhealthy Fi. I think when most people think of an Fi dom, their minds think of the stereotypical emotional person which is not true at all. Her unhealthy Fi has been made evident a plethora of times. She doesn’t care about other people, and only cares about herself. She solely does things that benefit her. Just look at her vendetta against Regina, she didn’t care about what Cady would be subjected to but instead just focused on getting her vengeance. The primal reason why she’s good at manipulating people is not because of her tert Fe, but it’s because she places herself in their shoes which might seem like an Fe thing but it’s not. Fe users don’t need to place themselves in other people’s shoes to sympathize with them. Just look at how she sympathized with Cady after Regina kissed Aaron. She solely felt bad because Regina also did something odious to her before. Janis is quite sensitive, and her Fi showed a lot when she started deploring Cady for assimilating with the plastics. She did that because it went against her personal morals, and principles which is being against everything the plastics stand for. She doesn’t hate the plastics because of a cogent reason, she hates them because Regina hurt her feelings (i’m paraphrasing but basically this is what happened). Also, where’s her Ne? she’s not into abstract or theoretical possibilities, and is extremely pragmatic. She’s pretty good at reading her environment, and is quite opportunistic. Just look at when she apprised regina of her master plan in front of everybody, she knew it was the perfect moment to do that because at that time everyone had already openly expressed their disdain for regina, and no longer admired her. She also saw it as the perfect time to antagonize Cady. And Ti, she seldom uses logic and instead navigates her life with her feelings. She judges things based off of how they make her feel, not using her own logic like a Ti user. I think most people are typing her as ENTP because she’s not the quintessential ISFP, and deviates from the all stereotypes. She’s an 8w7 or 4w3 (i didn’t give her enneagram much deliberation) but these enneagrams aren’t really that common with Fi doms.
