ENNEAGRAM —> Honest to goodness, 8w9 makes sense to me and I almost wonder if the Self-Preservation instinctual variant is producing some potential confusion with ISFP; compare to the other ISTP 8w9 in town - Aleksander Tiedemann - 8’s feel a protective responsibility over those they are close to, for Franziska, it’s in her empathetic (shut the fuck up you insecure Feelers, ISTPs and other damn XTXX’s are capable of empathy too) love for Magnus in a similar vein to Aleksander’s love for Regina. —> Don’t forget that the integration course for 8’s is into the healthier kindness and guardianship in the likeness of developed 2’s, which Franziska shows for her family members, whether it be assuring Elisabeth’s safety before the Scooby gang (still Nein?) goes into the caves or helping cover the financial bill for her father in his affair with Bernadette. —> Otherwise, insecure secrecy in the unhealthy likeness of more uncertain 5’s when Magnus snoops on her undercover provisions for Bernadette and yeah… PERSONAL THOUGHTS —> Franziska was for sure one of the more interesting teenage characters of Dark, having an interesting storyline of her secret exchange with Bernadette in order to cover for her father, just providing further realistic shades of a noir small town life. —> It’s a little bit more understandable in the case of Season 2 as the number of POVs and character arcs being followed grew exponentially from Season 1, but yeah, Franziska didn’t have as much development this time around, other than tying the loose ends for her secret business with Bernadette from Season 1. —> No, it’s especially fucking painful in Season 3 as her character development is all but discarded, barely anything given to show her development into the older self we see in Season 2 as part of Sic Mundus, ultimately being in Magnus’s shadow.
