“Say something nice.” MBTI: Ne-Ti-Fe-Si —> Ne-Si —o—> Missy’s predominant thought process thought revolved around a “gigantic, ever expanding web of connections” was fundamental to her scheming and deception, having been especially sadistic with getting “bored of any one particular thing once it’s been entertained for so long”; during her first major presence - save the “connective tissue” scenes that took place at the end of a fair numbers of S8’s episodes - in “Dark Water” (S8-E11), Missy was deliberately bouncing around between a vaguely connected web of ideas to throw off the Doctor to begin with, and shifted gears on a whim as the truth about her having been the Master was gradually unveiled. —o—> Ok, Missy’s struggle with inferior Si was not quite as evident in the example episode I wish to refer to, but nonetheless— I will specifically touch upon how Missy contended with “forgetfulness” in the sense of “overlooking significant details”, but her later struggle manifested as an “obsession with the good old days”; this would become more clear in the following episode, but in “Dark Water”, I believe that it was hinted at that Missy was obsessively fixated on renewing her friendship with the Doctor, but it had to be on her sadistic terms— the Wiki otherwise describes that Missy was more spontaneous with solitary scheming, rather than having layers of backup agendas ready like the previously shown incarnation of the Master. —> Ne-Ti —o—> Ok, I feel that Missy secondarily relied upon “logical analysis” to “focus” her “ideas”, have required time to “analyze” new ideas “fully” in order to determine if they were consistent with her internalized “‘database’”; a little before halfway through “The Magician’s Apprentice” (S9-E1), Missy sought to get the attention of Clara and UNIT by the strategic means of freezing the airplanes in flight around the world and was later killing of UNIT’s snipers and even innocent bystanders in order to apply leverage to the situation of working with the Clara to seek out the Doctor. —o—> Auxiliary Ti also played a role in Missy’s manipulative and deceptive practices, but was prone to a hubris about her having the pre-conceived notion that she was of “logical” superiority, having chosen to “ignore” rules and “authority” she perceived as “useless”; I don’t know if Missy had demonstrated any immediately obvious signs of more maladaptive Ti in “The Magician’s Apprentice”, but if anything, it was in her emotional disregard for the lives she was harming in the process of her having arranged the meeting with Clara— a cold means of fulfilling her agenda. —> Ne-Fe —o—> Alright, this will probably end up really backward as far as the example episode I will be using, for the sake of my sanity and consistency, I will start with a negative use of the tertiary function— Missy had primarily used tertiary Fe “mischievously” such as to “argue, jest, [and] provoke conflict”, but also in an especially manipulative sense, having exploited the [emotions] of others; if I remember correctly, there was some timey-whimey explanation that revolved around her previous incarnation’s presence affecting Missy’s own psychology, but in “World Enough and Time” (S10-E11), Missy had seemingly turned the tables on the Doctor by rejoining with evil, despite the emotional effort he put into her rehabilitation. —o—> More positively, the Doctor’s rehabilitation efforts had helped Missy’s “ability to read and empathize with others” become more nurtured, especially in the form of having helped her to “feel a heightened need to help or connect with others”; such was the case early on in “World Enough and Time” when she was working as “Doctor Who” to aid Bill and Nardole on a typical DW adventure, her rehabilitation having been put to the test. Biography

This mysterious, very manic and teasing woman first showed up in "Deep Breath", and was referred to as "The Gatekeeper of the Nethersphere" in promotional material. She would appear in several episodes to welcome the dead to a place she calls "Heaven", in reality said Nethersphere. Her identity and motives were initially a mystery, but she seemed to be familiar with the Doctor. Upon encountering the Twelfth Doctor in person, she revealed herself as being the latest incarnation of the Master, and the Nethersphere itself held a more sinister purpose than its inhabitants assumed. Aside from being a true sadist, the newly-rebranded Mistress is also very flirty and fond of playing little games — dancing around, pretending to be a droid, setting up tea parties for her victims, and so on. She makes no secret of her fondness for the Doctor, calling him her "boyfriend" and openly displaying the sexual tension aspects of their dynamic. Missy seems desire reconciliation with the Doctor.
