What personality type is Peeta Mellark? Peeta Mellark is an ESFJ personality type in MBTI, 2w3 - so/sx - 269 in Enneagram, SCOAI in Big 5, ESE in Socionics.

This looks like consensus voting. Peeta's a clear ESFJ, and his Ne is nowhere near good enough to be dominant. Fe: Peeta's Fe is clearly evident in many ways. First of all, it's his main strategy in the games. He relies on his Fe to keep him alive. The moment he sees the crowds in the capital, he is smiling and waving to the people there. He knows what makes them root for someone, and he takes advantage of this too when he pulls the "star-crossed lovers" thing and the baby thing to help save him and Katniss, though Katniss, who has terrible Fe dosn't understand why at first. But not only that, he also uses his Fe with people. He is known as being very sympathetic (like when he gives Katniss the bread) to people he cares about, and in many situations is the voice of reason. This is why when he is taken by President Snow, he exploits Peeta's main thing, which is his Fe, and uses it against Katniss. Peeta even uses it in the games, to maniuplate the careers to find Katniss. He could easily tell when Katniss was lying, saying that she wasn't going to get his medicine from the cornucopia, and he didn't believe her, and stopped her from going. (Of course, she went anyway.) He got the careers to believe that he would help them, and overall, it is the function he uses by default, and is the most comfortable with, which is what a dominant function is. Si: Peeta's Si and Ne are relatively balanced, which means he's not Ne dom and Si inferior. However, I think his Si is a bit better than his Ne. His Ne is okay, but defintiely not good enough to be the function he relies on the most. Si has a powerful influence on him. Objects that he sees have the ability to take him back to the memories he shares with Katniss. Si is a very personal function, and the things that matter to him most are the memories he shares with Katniss. Also, in Mockingjay, he loses his memories. He doesn't remember who Katniss is. His memories with Katniss matter to him so much that without them, he can't function properly. Additionally, the only thing that brought him back to Katniss was the "real or not real" game. The value he placed on his memories was enough to overcome even the capitol's brainwashing. Also, he rarely, if ever, uses Ti. Even his Ni is better than his Ti. He struggles to figure out patterns in things, and doesn't use abstract logic to his advantage whatsoever. Co-written by @[coffi_bean]
