Jack Townsend MBTI Personality Type
Personality
What personality type is Jack Townsend? Jack Townsend is an INTP personality type in MBTI, 9w8 - - 594 in Enneagram, RLUAI in Big 5, ILI in Socionics.
Out of any sort of media I’ve come across there is no better depiction of an INTP ILI LFEV. The pessimism, the laziness, the whole victim attitude (related to socionics). I could go on. Sp9 is a complete mistake and his PY type of LFEV can be faulted for that. His rationalizations of emotions is one of the more distinct pointers to E5 (and obviously 1L). He has no sp9 qualities, he lacks the sp9 hedonism, he doesn’t deal with emotions through sensations or comfort. Not to mention, every single chapter has something from the Head perspective. Jack is constantly on edge. Constantly overanalyzing things. Coming up with ridiculous ideas, neglecting common sense (which Sp9 would comparatively flourish in). And this is also what a 1L3E does, too. 4V couldn’t be any more obvious, everyone around him acts like an “adult” relative to him, making decisions, and when he goes out of his routine to make something happen it’s an event. You'll see in book four just how severely he uses 1L to cope with 3E, at times the author basically spells it out for you. Spoilers in the next section. I have read that sx5s will go years without pursuing a relationship with anyone, no doubt ruminating on a past relationship(s), which is something I relate to myself. Then again, I don’t know about the sp5 perspective. But its certainly one of the two. The reason I think about sx5 is that technically all throughout the previous books he has had the weight of Sabine on his mind all along, avoiding talk about her like the 3E he is, frankly the concept of a childhood bestfriend to lover is itself an sx5 theme. Because if that’s not “trust” then i dont know what is. Not to mention how she is presented in his mind—perfectly. She is flawless the way he describes her all the way up until he is forced to confront the errors in his relationship with her. And even then she is not the one presented as faulty, not at all.
