What personality type is Chloé Zhao? Chloé Zhao is an INFJ personality type in MBTI, 4w5 - sx/so - in Enneagram, in Big 5, in Socionics.
Initially, I believed 4w5 would make the most sense for her, although upon reading more, sx 9 would appear better-suited. She often speaks of intimacy in connections, which is what the sx variant is really about. This was even the central point of the original pitch she gave to Kevin Feige for the Eternals movie, which Feige himself even said was the best pitch he had ever heard. Moreover, sx 9s can often seem similar to 4s, and I do believe she had a 4 fix as well which may all be contributing factors. I am as of yet uncertain about either 945 or 946, but I am going with the latter for the time being.
Biography
Chloé Zhao (born Zhao Ting in 1982) is a Chinese-born filmmaker, known primarily for her work in the US. She is the director of Nomadland (2020), for which she won an Oscar, and Hamnet (2025).
