What personality type is Jimmy? Jimmy is an ISFP personality type in MBTI, 9w8 - - 972 in Enneagram, in Big 5, in Socionics.
Been having difficulty telling if he's an Ne user or an Se user, probably because he doesn't get enough screen time. However, I'm now thinking that Se is more likely because he drinks, smokes, and is possibly violent, as indicated by him losing his temper and trashing the motel room table and Louise telling him not to "start with that shit." Him being a guitarist is further possible evidence of him having a sensing function high in his stack, and Se-aux would fit that description. He does seem like someone who leads by his inner compass, and seems more like a feeler than a thinker. Him coming to see Louise after wiring her the money, with a view to possibly and finally proposing, looks like the decision of someone with high Fi or Fe, not Te or Ti. His difficulty committing to Louise reads like inferior Te to me--wanting to have a solid relationship with her but unsure how to go about it, and for that reason when he does pop the question, his timing couldn't be worse.
