Jaskier MBTI Personality Type

Personality

What personality type is Jaskier? Jaskier is an ENFP personality type in MBTI, 7w6 - so/sx - 749 in Enneagram, SLUAI in Big 5, IEE in Socionics.

Jaskier’s social activism in season 2 really solidified him as an ENFP for me. Anyone can bring about social change, but it’s the way he goes about it that made it so blatantly obvious in my eyes. We already get hints of Jaskier’s egalitarian belief system from his relationship with Geralt. He doesn’t so much as flinch when he first greets the Witcher. He also doesn’t treat his kindness towards Geralt as some form of charity work, he genuinely has an interest in Geralt’s way of life and personality. He even uses his musical abilities to change the public’s perception of the man. Season 2 made Jaskier’s personality and values much more clear. Elves now know him as the Sandpiper; a human bard who guides elves to safer territory. As Jaskier says, he is an artist. He believes his job as an artist is to create change by putting his audience into the shoes of the downtrodden. He uses his talents to uplift elven voices and soothe the mute. This displays Ne, Te, and Fi because he sees how his skills can bring about the reality he wants through abstract thinking. Jaskier also shows Si pretty consistently. He cares forpossessions which hold emotional value to him and/or bring him comfort and safety. For example, his lute. He wants adventure due to his curiosity (Ne) but can be whingy because of the discomfort that being on the road brings him (Si). He also shows a sense of self-preservation in season 1 which can make him come off as cowardly. As in, literally constantly begging Geralt to save him to the point it’s ridiculous. However, this dies down by season 2 as he becomes more steadfast in his beliefs. You could still make an argument that Jaskier is an ESFP, but his lyricism in season 2 also serves as evidence for Jaskier being an ENFP. Whoreson Prison Blues and Burn Butcher Burn are both having a conversation with someone. Whoreson Prison Blues is basically a big gfys to authority, and Burn Butcher Burn is a breakup song directed towards Geralt. Neither of these songs work to tell a story or a message about what happened. It is based exclusively off of his perception of events. He isn’t trying to explain the situation to the audience. He feels how he feels and if someone doesn’t like it? He doesn’t give a damn. In conclusion????? Jaskier’s natural instinct is to perceive, not observe. His ability to fine-tune his songs emotionally is something which comes naturally to him because of this. He does not romanticize reality, he romanticizes his idea of reality. To me, that screams Ne-Fi rather than Se-Fi. I definitely see where people are coming from when they say that Jaskier is an ESFP. And let me tell you, as someone who has read the books there is an even better argument for him being an ESFP to be made in them lmao. But personally? I think all signs lead to Jaskier being an ENFP, at least according to Joey Batey’s interpretation. btw, i have to admire how joey batey tries to present the complexities of jaskier/dandelion as a character, even when the script doesn’t give him many opportunities to do so… also WOW i did not expect this to be as long as it ended up being. does this even make sense? idk lol
