What personality type is Shinei Nouzen? Shinei Nouzen is an ISTP personality type in MBTI, 6w5 - so/sx - 694 in Enneagram, RCOEN in Big 5, LSI in Socionics.
After learning more about enneagram subtypes, I'm like 90% sure he's an so6. I don't think that he a sp or phobic 6. The sp6 is ruled by fear, anxiety, insecurity, etc.; they basically run away from their problems hence the term phobic. Shinei does not seem like this at all. He also doesn't seem like an sx6 either who can also resemble 8's due to the fact that they fight against their innate fear through aggression. Here is a description of the so6: - "This Six subtype connects to social ideals, working for a cause or standing up for the weak. They tend to be more ‘black and white’ than the shades of grey seen by other Sixes. They may seem like an Enneagram One as they are precise and careful and prefer to follow rules and procedures. Highly rational and dutiful, they work to encourage compliance to rules or collective norms, and to ensure that everyone knows what is expected of them." I think this describes Shinei well since he is clearly focused on being a competent processor in order to keep his squad alive and to keep moving forward in place of all those who couldn't. From the wiki, "Even after being ostracized and feared by the other Eighty-Six, Shin felt that it was his responsibility to shoulder the deaths of his comrades and let them pass peacefully into the afterlife... he always felt it was his duty as the survivor to silently carry the tags of the fallen to his final destination." The word used to describe the so6 is "duty" afterall, which Shinei exhibits a great deal of.
Biography
Shinei Nouzen (シンエイ・ノウゼン, Shinei Nouzen) is the main protagonist of 86 (Eighty Six) series. His Personal Name is Undertaker. He is the field commander of Spearhead Squadron, as well as the highest ranking non-guest operation commander of the Eighty-Sixth Strike Package. Having survived his entire six year term and the Special Reconnaissance mission, he is considered one of the most elite Processor. Among the Eighty-Six, he is known as the Reaper of the Eastern Front.
