What personality type is Molly Hooper? Molly Hooper is an INFP personality type in MBTI, 2w1 - sx/so - 269 in Enneagram, RLOAI in Big 5, EII in Socionics.
I disagree with Isfj for her. Frankly Infps with enneatype 9 or 2, as their core get constantly mistyped as Isfj. It happened to Nagisa from Clannad. If you look closer into her character her Fi becomes clear. Her emotions are internally oriented. She harbors deep feelings for Sherlock, but is unable to communicate them and mostly keeps her emotions and moral evaluations to herself. Compare her to Watson in this regard, who I way more inclined to openly share his moral embarrassment over some of Sherlock’s actions, basing his values in common shared ideals of politeness and friendly behavior. Molly on the other hand is more occupied with her personal feelings and doesn‘t care about Sherlock’s boldness, if it isn‘t directly hurting her. From time to time she expresses her anger, but than she does this in an unusual and quite bold way, like when she slaps Sherlock after he insulted her, effectively making her point clear through such a bold action. (Inferior Te) Her Fi is also noticeable when she manages to keep hers and Sherlock’s plan of inscenating his death hidden, rather than seeking contact with Watson to relief him or herself from this emotional burden by sharing it openly. Not even when she saw how much Watson suffered because of it. Molly’s selflessness also mainly extends to those close to her and is not focused on larger group or society. She also often operates in unconventional ways or allows Sherlock to do so, showing a certain obliviousness to the rules of their work, common for Te inferiors. Extroverted Intuition (Ne): Molly can typically read behind the lines where other people are oblivious. She picks up on subtleties in people’s behaviour that most people miss and comes to conclusions about their inner states of being. Molly relies primarily on intuition to figure things out even though she doesn’t always put two and two together logically. Because Molly has such a good understanding of people, she easily accepts and forgives the flaws of people very different from herself. She’s good at keeping other people’s secrets, albeit not necessarily her own. Furthermore she is quite detached and distracted by her thoughts making her seem bodily unaware and disconnected, unlike Isfj who have a good feeling for their physicality and body related issues. Her Si is also visible, but she seems to scatterbrained and rash to have it in a front position. While she is detail oriented the prone to getting carried away by her feelings and personal localities or her ideas and abstractions.
