What personality type is Zibai? Zibai is an INFJ personality type in MBTI, 3w2 - so/sp - 361 in Enneagram, SCOAI in Big 5, EIE in Socionics.
Haven't seen anyone try to type her combined self in a serious way so here goes. I'm only talking about the Zibai we see before and after being split and completely ignoring the deadly selves. Here are the functions I see with examples: High Fe is clear from her relationship to the people of Lang-gan and the way she's drawn to helping and teaching others in her voicelines. A lot of her lines are giving advice to and encouraging the traveller. Even now she sees it as her duty to protect Liyue. Everything she learns she wants to share and see others enjoy (like sharing blueprints with Xianyun, case law with Yanfei, teaching the travellar arithmetic etc.). She's very interested in how others think and feel as shown in her lines about poetry. She accepts the titles others give her while remaining humble. She's highly empathetic, understanding how zhongli/keqing/ningguang must feel in their positions. Her first thought when hearing about Xiao's karmic debt is how she can help him. In her opinion the most important thing for a nation is to teach people to have virtuous unselfish hearts. I could go on, but I think it's unnecessary. In general she thinks about things in abstract/poetic ways, drawing things together into these grand ideas and metaphors that sound very Ni. She speculates about things, gets lost in her thoughts mid-sentance and makes connections that aren't obvious. She makes accurate assumptions about the people she talks about in her "about..." voicelines. When she isn't teaching, she spends her time wandering and in her thoughts. In the same line, she states that the importance of the past is what it means for the future. She's not hung up on ancient notions of the positions of adepti and humans and she has a clear vision of what Liyue should be, though she's aware it isn't her place to be anything more than a guide. She seems to prefer a more indirect approach to helping Liyue progress. She mentions that she had (maybe has?) some ability to divine the future. She has healthy Ti, and it shows up in ways that remind me of INFJs I know in real life. There's the obvious example of how she does maths for fun. She's good at it, but it's still not her most preferred hobby since she said she had to "resort" to it to pass the time. When she reads books she makes a point to annotate them to make corrections. For the most part, she uses her Ti in service of being a teacher. She also dips into it for humour. She clearly values the truth but she always presents it in a thoughtful, sometimes gentle way. Se comes in last. Of all the things she enjoys teaching (maths, literature, music, history, etc.) none of them are physical. Before learning to fight, she emphasises cultivating the mind. The only reason she learnt to fight at all was because she knew she had to protect her people. She describes it as "preparing for the worst". She strongly hesitated at directly getting involved to save her people, only acting once she was sure there was nothing else she could do. I'd be happy to hear other people's thoughts and arguments.
Biography
Zibai (Chinese: 兹白 Zībái) is a playable Geo character in Genshin Impact. She was once an Angel who governed the civilization of Lang-Gan, worshipped as the God of Soil and Grain before Lang-Gan's destruction, eventually becoming one of the Eight Adepts. During the Lantern Rite celebration following the return of the Frost Moon into the skies of Teyvat, the Traveler and Zhongli managed to reunite the three pieces of her split soul, reviving her back to her original form once more.
