if somebody needed an argument about 3w2 here we go: The basic fear of enneagram 3 is failure and worthlessness and caroline always feared that. She always wanted to prove herself worthy and was always trying to become a better person. She also cared A LOT about image and about how others perceived her and what others thought of her. In season 1 her speech about the “i’m never the one” explains it best, she fears not being enough or worthy to be with someone and is frustrated about the fact that others prefer someone else over her and that makes her feel worthless. She always wanted to do things her way and always put herself in commanding positions loving to get the credit for her work. In season 5 when she gets to college her and Elena get kicked out of a class because they weren’t good enough in that subject. So Caroline, since 3s deeply hate failing and being told they’re not good enough, studied hard a subject she didn’t even care that much about just to prove her worth and the fact that she could do it. “when anybody tells me i can’t do something i prove them wrong!”. In 1x19 we can see another example of her 3 fears about winning “miss mystic falls” where u can see that she would have hated losing the contest because that would have proved that she wasn’t good enough. At the start she was more an un-healthy 3 like (again) in 1x19 where she did things like charity or helping communities only to win miss mystic falls and make everyone notice she was the best. But then as she grew older she became more mature, healthy and always tried to be her best self. That’s why 3w2 > 2w3, she does fit some 2 fears and trait but more 3 ones so i think 3 with a 2 wing is perfect for her. Hope this helped!
