What personality type is Misaki Mei? Misaki Mei is an INFP personality type in MBTI, 4w5 - sp/sx - 549 in Enneagram, RCUAI in Big 5, ILI in Socionics.
I just rewatched the anime, the interpretation she got from certain things (death, dolls, the curse, being the inexistent, etc.) are very Fi. She always says what it means to HER (when Kouichi gave her other interpretation about her favourite dolls, she rejects it), she is not "logical" oriented, she is just curious about things and draw conclussions from possibilities. An example of that is her ability, she got experience from seeing her sister dying and Reiko (it's possible she used this abilitie before bc she says she can see a less of death when people has injuries), but she desired to be super sure about it (she even waits Koichi all the anime to bring her the photo of Misaki to be sure). Other example is she wasnt sure about Reiko being the extra despite there was a lot of evidence (no other class has an assistant teacher, the teacher's room have an extra person, the class 3 had all of their desks, the curse starts even with the "inexistent" stuff, all the info she can have from Kouichi, etc.). Also, the last episodes, she is seem to doubt about killing the Reiko (Ik she was unsure about her, but later she gets sure about her ability, she struggles to decide what to do until Takako's death), I think this is moral stuff (all of the examples I gave are about making sure for not killing someone innocent), specially when she don't even try to physically defend Kouichi or herself against her classmates (specially with Takako and Akazawa, she was just trying to scape or avoid the knives), she even looks kinda sad for their deaths after they tried to kill her. She has a clearly cold Fi (yes, it can happen, like Jade from Victorious or Mafuuyu from Given who is rlly cold with his childhood friends), she just tends to keep her feelings for herself, but we can see that sometimes she shares it with Kouchi (she used to do it with her sister). Talking about her sister, the fact how Mei go over all her mother bans to be with her sister (she was like her best friend) is super Fi (specially bc Misaki know the reasons why), her relationshipp between Mei and Misaki is very emotional, she even got Misaki in her house and dolls store a few times, only bc Misaki and her enjoys being together in those places, a Ti user would be super aware about how dangerous is doing these things (bc Mei's mother can easily found them together in any moment bc is her place too). We can see Mei's Si sometimes when she explain a lot of details of certain things (all of the curse story, how her ability was earned and how it works, the way she felt for Misaki's death, etc.). Her Te is clearly inferior, I got this interpretation where we can only see it in one time when she met with Kouichi for first time in the elevator (she was super stressed for Misaki's death) and she rationalizes "if Misaki is dead, it means the curse started to work, so it doesn't care if I say my name to this guy who is probably the new Yomikita student" and she proceeds to talk to him. I hope I convinced u buddies, I think I'm kinda messy explaining :(
