Jesus this page is all over the place, she is such a so9 it hurts having to watch her struggle with being a countertype sometimes. Let's get the obvious out of the way first. So2 is actually horrible for her because first, she doesn't embody any of the pride or image prioritizing behaviors of a 2, let alone an so2 which is considered a 'cold 2' which should already knock that out of the park. Now we have sp1 which people also seem to be gearing towards. While the idea of converting anger to warmth makes sense on paper, it's important to remember that 1s are still incredibly critical of others and often feel the need to correct anything and everything and sp1 has this habit out of worry for everything happening. They usually take it upon themselves to try and make everything tidy or perfect out of their own worry and self-preserving perfectionism. Why is this important though? Well let's look at some of Hankyoung Lee's moments and compare them between sp1 and so9 Rather than a more critical approach that every 1 subtype takes, so9s prefer to take a more passive approach to solve situations. Rather than feeling the need to correct things by saying what people should and shouldn't do, so9 prefers to find answers that help those of wrong-doing through reassurance and encouragement, rather than being critical and harsh to make someone understand why they did something wrong. SPOILER WARNINGS COMING UP SO HERE WE GO From the first chapter alone, Hankyoung was faced with the task of confronting Hyeonu Lee who had literally just beat up a dude for swearing at him outside the school and rather than talking down on him and trying to display moral superiority like a 1 would, she instead tries to convince Hyeonu out of some of his habits like smoking, saying that she would even try to help him stop smoking by taking on the responsibility to make up for a psychological sloth most 9s would have, hence being a countertype. It's important to know that sloth can cause a lot of indecisiveness that 9s tend to show, and Hankyoung tends to panic on the spot with mediating situations that 1s would quickly involve themselves in. The sloth simply comes from having a lack of secure self that makes it hard to make decisions on the fly that can overwhelm a 9, especially an so9 that feels the need to take on responsibility for an overall group. EVEN BIGGER SPOILERS COMING UP BE WARNED The other great example I can think of happened around chapter 19 or 20 when Hyeonu went on an absolute rampage and tried to kill Kim Gyu Jin for reasons I shall not say at the moment, but of course, Hankyoung put herself in Kim's way and took the stabbing for him. Surely, as 1 she would act on her controlled anger and completely criticize Hyeonu for his irrational action of revenge, right? Well, instead she goes on to try and reassure Hyeonu and remind him of his ambitions and why he became what he actually became. She tried to use her anger not against him, but against everyone who turned Hyeonu into who he was and even after acknowledging what would happen to him, she still tried to focus on what he could be and not what he should or shouldn't be. That scene alone shows how much she tries to not act upon her anger and deny it in favor of making others feel like they could be something else despite the environment they were in proving otherwise. Hankyoung is a character I adore so much and despite her righteous and determined personality, she simply lacks the anger acceptance and moral superiority that fit the 1 structures, while she does have the trait structure of anti-psychological sloth that fits a Social 9 perfectly.
