Biography

The intuitive components of this combination lead to direct perception of the subjective factor and so this type soon lapses into a world of unreality. For him the psychic phenomenon takes on aspects of reality;his statements automatically contain elements of the unconscious. Here we meet philosophers with a speculative tendency and with premonitions about the future. They are usually not understood in the present, Schopenhauer being a case in point. Another telling example is Nietzsche. Others with this combination of introverted thinking and intuition are philosophers of the occult, although one hardly dare mention them by name.
